Biography

Dr. Andrew Somers is a physical therapist, musician, and maker from Lexington, ֱapp. Prior to beginning his career in full-time academia in 2024, he passionately served ֱappns for 9 years in rural and tribal clinics where he mentored over a dozen clinical students from PT and PTA programs across ֱapp, Texas, and Kansas. He is married to his wonderful wife, Diana—a fellow musician and maker—who serves as a district court reporter for ֱapp County. He now proudly serves the ֱapp DPT program’s students teaching beginning and advanced orthopaedic physical therapy practice.
