About Me:
As an undergraduate I never met a course I didn't like; I switched majors five times before deciding to double major in English and Cinema-Television, with a minor in French. Ultimately, I realized that I like telling stories and reading stories — this way I never have to choose to be only one person — and the English Department facilitates this by encouraging me to read closely and write carefully, always playing with language and perspective. I love teaching at ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app because students here are not only bright, but they also understand that art happens through discipline commitment, as well as an appreciation for what makes each of us different. My scholarship explores nonviolent public rhetoric, how to teach creatively, and how we can use writing to inspire each other to be better, smarter people. My creative writing is mostly poetry and nonfiction.
