Biography

Mitchell Cook is the academic specialist for the Wanda L. Bass School of Music and School of Theatre at ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app City University.

He is an arts administrator, educator, and performer based in Norman, OK. Originally from Garland, Texas, he moved to ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app in 2017 and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education and will soon complete his Master’s degree in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship, both from the University of ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app.

Prior to his transition into arts administration, Mitchell served as a choral director in Norman Public Schools.

As a performer, Mitchell sings with Canterbury Voices, Canterbury Chamber Voices, and the Zielinski Singers. With these choirs, he has performed in collaboration with the ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app City Philharmonic, the Norman Philharmonic, and performed throughout Poland at the International Festival of Choral Song in MiÄ™dzyzdroje, the International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music in Kamien Pomorski, the Akademia Sztuki in Szczecin, and the Collegium Polonicum in SÅ‚ubice.

Mitchell is a hobby pianist and, on occasion, a choral, instrumental, and musical theatre accompanist.
