Ambassador to Address U.S. – Middle East Relations

A former U.S. ambassador to both Israel and Egypt will discuss the future relations between the Middle East and the U.S. during a public discussion Sept. 1 at ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app City University. Ambassador Daniel Kurtzer will begin the discussion at 5:30 p.m., followed by a question and answer session moderated by ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app President Robert Henry in the Kerr-McGee Auditorium, located in ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app’s Meinders School of Business at N.W. 27th St. and McKinley Ave.

Kurtzer is a professor of Middle East policy studies at Princeton University. Following a 29-year career in the U.S. Foreign Service, he retired with the rank of career-minister in 2005. He served as the U.S. ambassador to Israel from 2001 to 2005 after working as the U.S. ambassador to Egypt and as a political officer at the American embassies in Cairo and Tel Aviv.

Kurtzer also will meet with ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app students during his visit.
