Gallery Hosts Native American Artist Talk

Holly Wilson

ֱapp City University’s Norick Art Center will host a presentation by artist Holly Wilson titled “Native Thoughts in Contemporary Art” at 6 p.m. Sept. 24. The presentation is open to the public as a virtual event or in-person with requirements of face coverings and social distancing.

Wilson works in a variety of media including bronzes, encaustic, photography, clay and sterling silver. Her figures serve as her storytellers to the world, conveying stories of the sacred and the precious, capturing moments of the day along with human vulnerabilities and strengths. The stories they tell are at one time both representation of family history as well as personal experiences.

Register for the virtual presentation at okcu.edu/admissions/events/school-of-visual-arts-events/.

The art center is located at 1608 NW 26th St. on the ֱapp campus. Regular gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information about the artist or to view images of her work, visit .
