Scriptwriting is a specific skill that translates from the college classroom to the professional world in the arts as well as in professional media. A scriptwriting minor will produce graduates who are able to understand key conventions and techniques of scriptwriting in order to create original scripts and creative work in a variety of formats and genres. Students will engage in coursework across three departments, English, Film, and Theater, which will encourage students to think broadly, make connections across departments and see the work of scriptwriting through more than one disciplinary lens.
