We are excited to announce ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app City University's 2024 Double Reed Day!
Double Reed Day is an event for oboists and bassoonists of all ages and skill levels. Activities will include the following:
- MasterºìÐÓÖ±²¥app with guest artists and ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app faculty
- Double reed ensemble: All participants are invited to play in our double reed ensemble. At the end of the day we hope friends and parents will stick around to hear the ensemble's performance.
- Reed class: Explore and learn about reed-making
- Performances by ºìÐÓÖ±²¥app students, faculty, and guest artists
Make sure to bring your instrument for the Double Reed Ensemble!
Saturday, March 9 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Registration begins at 8:00 am.
4:00 pm - Final Double Reed Day Recital and Double Reed Ensemble Performance
This year's featured guest artists are:
Dr. Kari Kister, Oboe/English Horn in the Charleston Symphony
Kathleen Reynolds, Emeritus Bassoon Faculty at University North Texas
